Scottish Badger Week 2020
We were contacted last week by Scottish Badgers, an independent Scottish charity founded in 1999 with encouragement from the Scottish Government, who perceived a need for a non-statutory body to work in this field. Scottish Badgers cooperates closely with the Badger Trust, whose activities cover all the other areas of the British Isles. It should be noted that only Scottish Badgers operates in Scotland.
Could we help promote their upcoming ‘Scottish Badger Week – 9 days of Badger‘ they asked? Of course, we’d be delighted, we said. After all, who doesn’t love a badger (don’t bothering commenting Defra, we already know what you think)? We certainly do as hopefully our badger posts and podcasts prove.
Could we perhaps help your charity via a guest post or a podcast as well, we asked? Well, how about helping out with our Wild Wellbeing week which starts 18th May? Right up our street, we said. Let’s get that sorted out, they said. So we’ll be recording something next week, which will be based around tips and suggestions on enjoying the great outdoors (or your own back garden). That should be fun!
In the meantime, do please have a look at the Scottish Badgers website and (as they suggested) get ‘sett’ to have some badgery fun.
